About Our Practice

Welcome! We’re glad you found our website. Feel free to look around.

At Canyon Foot and Ankle, we work hard to provide world-class foot and ankle care right here at home. You shouldn’t have to drive or fly out to the nearest large metro area to benefit from the latest research or the most advanced techniques, like laser therapy, clubfoot casting, or advanced peripheral neuropathy treatment. It’s all right here.

And of course, you also get all the benefits of a small, local clinic, too. We’re your friends, your neighbors, your family. We love getting to know our patients on a personal level. We work hard to be sensitive to your needs and create a caring environment, where you never feel rushed, all your questions are answered, and you feel empowered to make the best decisions about your healthcare.

We look forward to meeting you!

Cory Pilling, DPM

Cory Pilling, DPM

Dr. Pilling received his pre-medical training at Brigham Young University in exercise physiology. After undergrad, he took a two-year break in his studies to volunteer in Haiti. He then studied at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, graduating in four years.

After earning his DPM, Dr. Pilling performed an extensive three-year residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. During his residency period, he also had the opportunity to train in pediatric and development conditions at the National Children’s Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Pilling was part the Baja Project for Crippled Children and provided free medical care for needy Honduran children. His pediatric training includes the Ponseti method of treatment for clubfoot.

During his final year of training, Dr. Pilling was granted the prestigious honor of a fellowship at the internationally renowned Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Russia. One of only two residents from the USA, he was trained in advanced techniques of repairing bone injuries and complex deformities of the lower extremity and foot.

Upon completion of his residency training, Dr. Pilling chose to relocate to the Magic Valley area, in large part due to the strong family values and sense of community—an ideal environment to raise his own family. He firmly believes that advanced foot and ankle care should not only be available in large metropolitan areas.

Dr. Pilling sincerely looks forward to the honor and privilege of being your foot and ankle specialist.
